This crap is what destroyed my birth family. Hal Lindsay and his bunch of garbage started it and it went to total shit from there. I can’t forgive that. My mom has ptsd from childhood abuse from the Catholic Church and her parents and I think it made her vulnerable to a new “faith” with all the trappings to make everything everyone else’s fault. It’s also got a certain amount of feeling superior to others because they are chosen and safe and you aren’t. It’s gross and it pisses me off.
