Agreed. I don’t want people trying to stop crimes that they see just because they have a gun. They should only be used to protect yourself, and yourself only. That means if someone is coming at _you_ with a weapon, or an intruder breaks into your home and confronts you. If a person with a gun sees someone being mugged on the street, he should run the other way and call the police.
