They’ll scream, but I don’t think they’ve got enough to block this one. Too many in Congress are just too tired of the budget wars to have another battle. It’s also being announced right near Christmas to make those who oppose it look like the Grinch.

We told ourselves that back in October, that the dangers of a shutdown would mean the establishment would come to the table and work out some manner of compromise. Until the votes are actually counted, I don’t put anything past them at this point.
