Just as an experiment I didn’t listen to AM talk for a week. Not a ton of stations on the Big Island but stuck with Tool and Zep on CD and Classic Rock station.

Even though I’m not prone to yelling at the radio or otherwise reacting to the idiocy and was wondering if the derangement and mendacity still gets to me. Not sure yet, have a lot of other stressors going on in my life.

But it makes me wonder.

Jeez, why put yourself through listening to AM radio at all?? I haven’t listened to it for 40 years unless I needed to during a severe storm. The only FM I listen to are public radio or small independent stations (there are so many great stations in Minnesota, KAXE in the northwoods is one of the best). I guess we’re lucky.
