Can’t the front seat airbag simply be unplugged? You would lose it’s protection, but mitigate the hazard.

I don’t know. I would think if it could, they would have offered it as an alternative? But maybe not, because of the legal shit.

I should do some looking into that. If it’s simple enough maybe I could pull it myself; otherwise maybe there is a local shop that we trust that could do it.
