Well, for what it is worth, the California Zephyr runs daily. Heading towards Emeryville, it leaves Fort Morgan at 5:05am, assuming it is running on time. (My experience with Amtrak outside of the Northeast Corridor is that that would be a big assumption.)

We’re taking the Coast Starlight back up from LA next weekend, after my race. That will be fun.
