Agreed.
She’s inspiring guzheng players in China to try the same kind of covers. Guzheng is the “parent” of the gayageum, I believe. I’ve found her videos on the Chinese video-sharing sites.
It’s in the same class of instruments as the hammered dulcimer (a zither), but has been around for a whole lot longer (evidence for the instrument goes back 2,500 years).
Strings have gradually been added to it since it was invented.
