But yeah: disgustingly and disgracefully, this baffoon is likely to get another go at Number Ten: if for no other reason than, as bad as the Tories’ failings have been (historically bad, IMO), the biggest failing of the system has been the lack of a consistent and coherent Opposition.

Here’s a piece from the weekend New York Times on Britain: the “Splintered Isle”: it’s a stock NYT thumbsucker in a lot of ways (a bit like their farmers-at-the-diner “Cletus Safaris”: though somewhat better-done): but depressing nevertheless.
