It’s worse now than when I was younger. I agree a lot of progress was deceptive but things are definitely worse now then they were 20 years ago.

In 1997 for the first time ever Alabama executed a white man for a lynching. It is horrible to watch young people tell Black civil rights fighters of my generation that there has been no progress. And it happens a lot.
