I’m 39. For me, Carter’s presidency is a memory blip. I was 3 when he took office and 7 when he left. I remember his sweaters and not much else. After that, he was the ex-POTUS who did commercials for Habitat for Humanity and who did a lot of charity work.
Nobody under 45 can credibly claim him as a bogeyman or as the WORST PREZNIT EVAR ZOMG. They would have been too young for his presidency to matter, or he would have only shown up in history class.
