I want the entire camel in the tent, and the camel’s whole family. That camel is the death of recission. That camel’s sister is the ability of freelancers to get portable coverage. That camel’s cousin is the end of pre-existing conditions preventing people from getting care. That camel’s mom is people getting cancer screenings and checkups because they actually have a PCP. That camel’s dad is my friends who have conditions from birth finally being able to get on the insurance rolls.

I like this camel. I like it a lot. :)

We have to stop pretending this fiction that unregulated health care insurers and the “free market” with no constraints on unethical and abusive practices, can provide for ethical health care. We have to stop pretending that we can do this without a mandate that distributes risk.

Everyone who earns 133% of the poverty level or less will be eligible for Medicaid.

Doctors can still refuse to accept Medicaid patients.
