I just smiled and said I was looking forward to signing up for health insurance for the first time since 1980-something. She said there’s things in the bill that nobody knows about and the government will have all your bank account numbers… and drifted off, realizing we’re not really going to discuss it.

She left to see if the other bike shop had the cleats she needs, and they did, but want an arm and a leg for them, and she’d rather pay me an arm and a leg to order some for her. She hates the other shop, so I’m not losing a customer over this. Whew.
