I sure wish the media was reporting more of the other side. This just lets the story take hold that the evidence is tainted.

I suspect that the aim is more to portray Donny as the “victim” of an “invasion of privacy,” that there was “sensitive” personal/business information in those emails and the FBI (who obviously are all out to get this poor guy) could turn that information over to those who could use it to ruin/embarrass him.
