Well, they have Donald Trump, all of the Congressional GOP, and the entirety of right-wing media telling them just that: and have since the veins on Kavanaugh’s head receded last Thursday. That the rest of the world universe outside the RW Media Bubble was appalled by Judge Drunky’s unprofessional ranting is, as usual, discarding as an irrelevance.

lets all remember there are two very different things going on here for the d’s and r’s:

- the dems and anyone with a brain are hoping that evidence/proof is uncovered. that it will be incontrovertible enough by itself that there’s no option but to withdraw

- the r’s are trying to get to a point where they can all vote yes
and that is regardless of what we all already know to be true

the dozens and doezens of things that each one by itself is enough to disqualify kavanaugh are mostly not relevant any more. the r’s will not revisit them

they are looking to say you had your investigation, nothing conclusive
now we’re gonna vote yes like we shoulda done last week
