Because I’ve met many “honorable” conservatives myself, and many engage in the same sort of misogyny and bass-ackwards thinking as Rush, they just have the good sense to do so behind closed doors, away from the ears of the womenfolk.

Sadly, this seems to be true to at least some degree across the board. I’ve seen more than my share of supposedly honourable moderates and liberals and progressives that do the same. Maybe not as bad as further on the right, but still far worse than people want to believe.
