Did you see what Maddow did that got called out in the article? Advocates in general are just not objective sources. Thank you, right I’m no extremist, but my point of view shows, and that view colors my view of contrary opinions. Motivates me to debate the points. Hopefully only to a healthy degree.

I make an effort but hey at some level we market or “sell” our own conclusions. It’s a question of degree. PETA/NRA/HCI all nuts if you ask me.

I prefer ASPCA, NSSF, and Americans For Responsible solutions (Gabby Giffords org) ACLU is another good example. Not crazy but certainly highly motivated to push their view.

There is a lot of cherry picking going on unless you speak to the scientists doing the analysis. I’m not about to skewer Maddow just yet though, she may or may not have been the one to pick that cut off point.

It is good that someone noticed and put it out there.
