Another cheery statistic - the nation’s unfunded public sector pension liability tops $1 trillion.

Two nights ago I met a woman from California visiting her boyfriend here. She works for the State of California and is planning to retire with full pension and health benefits at the age of 50, then move to Texas where the cost of living is lower. Multiplying the number of state employees in California by this individual plan seems like an unsustainable tax burden for Californians.
