You’ve tripped over the conundrum: when people’s actions result in both good and bad outcomes, do we condemn for the bad things, do we praise for the good things or do we do both. I think Cato is saying we should praise the USSR for helping win WWII, but condemn Stalin for the deaths of his own people.
Cato doesn’t know what the fuck he’s blabbing about…the issue is a D-Day Memorial…it’s not meant to be nuanced to the sixth ring
