John Oates and I are kindred spirits, I don’t care how cheesy his music is.

Both John and Darryl are nice guys. I came up in the Philly coffee house circuit at the same time they did and played a lot of shows with them when they still called themselves ‘Whole Oats.’ They got famous, I didn’t. That’s show biz.
