Billie Joe Armstrong sure gets major mileage out of those few chords.

The greatest thing about any of his songs is that you can strip away the production and play them on an acoustic guitar, and they’re still really good songs.

I dearly love Time of Your Life for this reason. Even I can play a really decent verison.
