Politico needs to remember that this isn’t 1973. Trump has corrupted so much of the government already that I doubt that such a thing could ever happen again.

I return again to my mental image of how the Trump presidency ends: a private plane taking off a runway, chased by a phalanx of FBI cars, trailing a cloud of dollar bills, swirling in the air, from the broken-open bales of cash that wouldn’t fit into the plane …

… as Don Jr. and Ivanka sob in handcuffs, tears running down their faces, “Daddy! Daddy! Wait! Come back!” …

… and then overhead, a wing of F-16s scrambled from Langley AFB scream on afterburners, chasing Trump as he desperately tries to reach international waters, to claim asylum in Russia …
