These guys look scary and have a very painful bite. I had no fear that this creature would bite me. They love the nectar from Milkweed and pick tarantulas up and flip them on their back before injecting a single egg inside the abdomen of the victim. Oh, they then drag the paralyzed victim to an underground burrow where the egg will develop, hatch and then consume the insides of the tarantula and then leave the burrow. The circle of life has some unlucky victims!
