I’m glad you bright up Twitter because I have a question as I don’t do a lot of tweeting (I’m mostly a follower). With the Twitter account I use for LGF I have my tweets protected, and the only people following me are other lizards.

That being the case, is it still useful for me to retweet articles—i.e. since hashtags are automatically inserted, will people watching those categories be able to see my retweet even though they’re not on my followers list? I’m guessing probably not, but I wanted to ask someone who knows more…

I don’t know the answer to that since I don’t do private twitters, but you could easily test it. Do a tweet to #lgf, go to twitter and log out, flush the twitter cookies from your browser, then go back to twitter and search while logged out to see if it shows up under #lgf
