I really do feel a strong sense of imbalance here. This is a trivial offense as compared to most of the DC sex scandals. Barney Frank and Bill Clinton kept their jobs… (Not picking on Dems, plenty of R scandals to go around)
What surprises me is the D leadership turning on him. Even after offering to go to rehab or therapy. That is significant by the standards of many scandals to do with booze and drugs and sex, some all at the same time.

I just do not see why he has to quit.
