Why do Christians have statues anyway? Isn’t that idolatry?

Mostly a Catholic/High Church thing. It’s not idolatry because the image is not seen to have any intrinsic power—it’s just a reminder. That can fall into abuse, and there have been iconoclastic movements in the early church and parts of the Protestant Reformation.
