This about the same mayor (Bloomberg) who, along with NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly authorized an extensive intel operation to spy on Muslims and Muslim groups in New Jersey and outside the boundaries of New York City and which may have been in violation of Handschu guidelines. The original Handschu guidelines required a 3-judge panel to issue warrants, but in 2003, that was reduced to a 1-judge panel, allowing the potential for mischief. I’d argue that it’s time to bring back the 3-judge panel to reduce the chances of chicanery. It wouldn’t stop the NYPD from conducting this surveillance, but they’d have to prove the necessity of their actions to the satisfaction of the panel.

Yeah, Bloomberg’s a secret Muslim alright.

Or…. Spencer is an ignorant hack.
