Szegedi. I wonder if his name points to the Transylvanian town of [Marmorosh] Sziget (not far from Satmar), where my own grandparents (and Eli Wiesel) came from.

Sighet/Sziget is in modern Romania, right? This guy’s name’s probably from Szeged, in Hungary, which is a much bigger town. It’s probably his father’s family name, so not from the Jewish side.

But regardless, I’m not playing Jewish Geography with this fascist!
