I know everybody fell all over themselves to pronounce Romney’s concession speech “graceful,” but that bit about praying for the President REALLY hit me the wrong way.

It sounds exactly like the parting shot used by fundamentalists when they can’t win an argument about creationism — “you’re a godless monster in league with Satan, but I’ll pray for you.”

You know what? Fuck Mitt Romney’s prayers, and fuck his condescending “I’ll pray for the President and this country” line. After the dishonest race-baiting election campaign he ran, he needs to be praying for HIMSELF.

The concession speech was every bit as artificial and insincere as the rest of his campaign.
