Ummm…. step back a moment here. Climate change is real. Pollution is real. Human caused forcing of climate change is observed and real. One party has put forward ideas on how to address it. The other is stuck on stupid and is burying their heads in the sand (and will soon be underwater as sea levels rise).

The GOP play here is to do what? Force Democrats to vote on something that’s needed? The GOP couldn’t even put together a health care plan. Their only intention over the past 10 years has been to unwind the safety net and demolish anything having to do with Obama. They don’t have any affirmative policies - it’s all regressive.

Until then, the Times is carrying the GOP’s water.
