This quote is something I DESPISE:

The “we have to prepare” argument goes like this: “We must uncover all of these far-fetched unlikely scenarios so that we can guard against them.”

I HATE THIS.

PREPARE FOR WHAT?

Or, more precisely,
PREPARE FOR HOW?

What are we supposed to do that we aren’t already doing? I can’t “vote harder”!

(Note on voting in Salem, Massachusetts: We have vote-by-mail, but we have dropboxes, and City Hall, and our usual polling stations. I have applied for my ballot and will early-vote.
I never needed to say this: We have odd-year municipal elections, which means that elections are routine. Yes, Brodude, local elections are important.)

If you’re going to scare people (and the “you” refers to pundits, not anyone here), and they can’t do any more than they are already, then it will be VERY ugly.
