I like the notion of a very low base tax with minimal deduction and deferments.

again, it encourages people to just earn money rather than find creative ways to avoid them

it is no coincidence that General Electric has the largest legal department in the world, it is more profitable for them to hire another lawyer than another engineer or researcher…

I prefer a progressive tax with minimal deferments.

A package of toilet paper costs the same for me and Warren Buffett, but as a percentage of my income the sales tax is much higher for me than him.
