Ugh, my first network admin job was for a company that was half TCP/IP half token ring. It was also a mix of netware, windows, and AS400. Had ginormous 128k frame relay internet connection for a company of about 3000. I do not miss “the good old days”

The AS400 were neat machines, technically. I’m glad I never had to admin one for work but I’d love to play with one. Token ring, now that brings back nightmares… not even scsi bus issues could need as many sacrifices and dark rituals to get working right.
