Unfortunately, Conservatives don’t care. I’ve heard them say that a few innocent people being put to death doesn’t lead to the delegitimization of the death penalty. I think there is probably a racial aspect to their support of the death penalty in the first place.

They like to see themselves as the agents of Divine Justice.
