re: #43 Targetpractice

And that’s the point right there, that through laws and court decisions, cops can now treat you like a criminal virtually from the start of an encounter, then when you are finally released, shrug their shoulders and go “We were just following the law.” Times I begin to wonder if the loonies claiming we live in a police state aren’t all that far off.

Being in a job like law enforcement, it must be incredibly stressful to know that you possibly could end your shift in a body bag. It’s a tough job which I in all honesty couldn’t perform.

Having said that: I haven’t known that many LEOs in my life, but most of them tend to view the Constitution as an annoyance they could do without. And every single one of them knows that they can get away with a lot by uttering the magic phrase “reasonable suspicion.”

The recent Supreme Court decision that allows them to basically strip search anyone they feel is going to be as abused as tasers are now.
