It should ignore faith, along with culinary aesthetics, fashion, internet memes any number of things that we simply decide on as individuals. These are not things science ( in this instance physical sciences)are well equipped to evaluate.

I’m not quite getting your point. Science, “physical” or otherwise, doesn’t need to care about or respect religion.
