I’ve noticed that over the last few years, the Apple Store staff are a little less polite than they used to be.

When the stores first opened, I was really impressed with how easy going the staff came off. Much of it felt rehearsed, but it was never overbearing.

My last two trips were a different story. Definitely got a “We’re doing you a favor by even letting you in here” vibe. Not oppressive, but noticeable.

That should be addressed in short order, since the guy that Tim Cook brought in from Dixons UK earlier this year to head the Apple Stores got sacked a few weeks ago because he was driving the Stores into the ground (cutting employees, cutting cleaning budgets, etc.); IIRC, Cook is personally overseeing the Stores division (on top of his regular CEO duties) until a suitable replacement is found.
