I love Northern California. Spent 10 days there a couple years ago and didn’t want to leave. I wish we could find work out there,I’d leave in a heartbeat, even if it meant downsizing some. I can’t explain it, there’s just something about the place. But for me it was the redwoods that brought such peace,the forest floor seems to soak up all outside sounds and the trees have this “thing” I can’t explain but I want to have my ashes scattered there when I die. Sigh.

We’re supposed to go to Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia this summer for another 10 days. Depends on the kiddo’s school and finding reliable people to take care of the house and critters while we’re gone.
