I am still trying to digest how this will play out. Part of me thinks (and hopes) this was the ‘October Surprise’ that would deal the knockout blow to Trump’s campaign the same manner that the 47% video permanently knocked out Mitt Romney’s campaign in 2012. On the other hand, I must acknowledge this is a very unusual election. Those who are appalled by Trump’s comments were never voting for him anyway, while for those who are true Trump worshippers, there is nothing he can do that would make them vote for anyone else (Trump is probably correct that he could shoot someone in downtown Manhattan and he won’t lose too many votes).
