You might be surprised to know how many GV brands are brand name products with the GV label attached.

For example, there are only, IIRC, three companies that make auto oil filters. There are more than three brands of auto oil filters.

Their oil filters (Tech 2000?) do have a good rep. I believe they’re made by Purolator (read that on an automotive forum somewhere. Me, I use Motorcraft, because they have a good reputation, and they make one (FL-400S) that fits my minivan (Toyota), but with a longer can (more capacity than the stock Toyota filter), and has a silicone anti-drainback valve. I believe the Motorcraft filters are made by Purolator as well.
