See Caitlin Jenner. Kanye. Gretchen Carlson. Others who as soon as they’ve served their purpose they are cast aside. And yet more people line up to do this with the right (Rayon and Sandstone being the latest), because each one thinks this time they can get what they want.

A little different though. Caitlin, Kanye, and Gretchen were already famous before they were. No one knew who D&S or Not Joe were beforehand. It’s similiar but not quite the same. And frankly I think Kanye was trying to use them as much as they were trying to use him from what I gather.
