Personally, I’d love to see someone like Julian Castro run. I’m pretty sure that was the point of having him keynote the DNC last year. I like him. He’s young, smart, and seems like a genuinely good guy.

Castro is good, as is Cory Booker. However, both have a bit of an uphill battle due to their relative lack of national exposure. Clinton had - and excelled at - a high-profile position for the past four years. By doing so she succeeded, in my opinion in rebuilding a reputation that was damaged a bit from the prior primary between her and President Obama, and additionally gave her a huge leg up from a foreign relations standpoint.
