Thanks, I am just trying to figure out how being from a bad neighborhood would be grounds for disapproval. I guess that could equate to being from a bad family or putting you at risk in other ways, in your Dad’s eyes, but I’m hurting my neck making that stretch.

I could regale you with stories about how my parents are still treated like crap by other local white people because my dad’s family was dirt-poor and my mom’s family had a comfortable living but wasn’t upper crust.
