When I joined Mensa (early 80’s), I didn’t have to take one of their tests. I mailed them a copy of my SAT scores, and that was sufficient.

I got into Mensa in my senior year of high school. Teachers were shocked that I got in. I went to one Mensa meeting in college and their lusting for Ayn Rand turned me off. I quit.
