On that note, back in December I bought tickets to a concert that is supposed to be on July 31 at the House of Blues.

They still haven’t cancelled it and I’m afraid with us losing the War on Karen, HOB and the bands are going to yell YOLO and go on anyway.

I’m not going. End of Story. It’s not safe. If HOB and/or Livenation refuses to give me my money back because I refused to buy that scam ticket insurance (on top of bullshit fees that literally almost double the ticket price), which is for other things, not a viral pandemic, then…

There was a prediction the other day that we’re going to see a wave of bankruptcies in the Jul-Aug range and I can certainly see that as companies find that the public is not as eager to just put their health at risk for a good time. The Karens are a loud and assholish group, but they’re simply not a large enough demographic to make up the difference. If anything, the images of them flooding resorts and beaches with no masks and clustered together is only going to keep most people away.

The message from wingnut media is “Look at all those people out there, leading normal lives in the summer heat!” The message from everybody else? “Look at those morons! We’re gonna be stuck inside ‘til CHRISTMAS!”
