I as must too much a student of Russian and Russian history to get over their accents, although Marshal Zhukov speaking like a Northern English Geordie does seem to fit the character.

Loved the accents—I didn’t realize until the credits that Michael Palin was Molotov. Checking shows that the comedy squeezes the events of several months into a few days. I remember the radio news report of Stalin’s death. I was about to turn 7.
