So the only option to GQP intransigence and the backstabbing of “moderate” Dems is to give both groups what they want, with the former killing the bulk of the Pres. Biden’s agenda and the latter getting a lot of spending to their states for projects they can campaign on for the next two elections?

The GOP will campaign on how the Democrats couldn’t get any infrastructure done at all because the Democrats killed it. And that will work fine for the GQP and our democracy will die.

If the small bill got passed, the Democrats could campaign on how the GOP couldn’t get anything done while they were in office during Trump’s first 2 years — that they couldn’t even get an infrastructure bill, that it was a running joke that Trump the builder had nothing — and that it took a Democratic administration to get something to help our country. That would be a powerful message.
