oh i have a little motley crue of righties as friends, on these internets :D An objectivist who loves him some Ayn Rand who is a coder, a brilliant and gifted comic artist who is full on Destroy the Fed, a lot of Bush conservatives who would be right at home on LGF. A real estate agent who was a high school friend… and all of them are on board with us on social issues, because, heh, most of them are gay! and they all feel they don’t have a party. Gay conservative geeks are all gay and conservative and geeky in wildly different ways. liberal geeks tend to be more predictable

My temple rubbing anger is always against the so-cons. And the fandom is sort of kryptonite for social conservatives. It’s not for them. it’s everything they hate.

There are far too many lunatics who insist gays are only those who march in the SF parades. They don’t realize that there are gay marines and gay ‘Hang em high’ judges, stock brokers and so on.

I always laugh when I see the Log Cabin Republicans excoriated (on either side of the spectrum). For every member signed up, there are a thousand who have not.

People are much nicer when they are courting large voting blocks.

I would not be surprised to learn gay voters are as likely to be conservative as they are liberal.

Sexual orientation does not upend human nature.
