I’m kind of conflicted about this story. I’m glad the girl is okay and that things worked out for her, but I am also sort of concerned that a 12 year old has that easy of access to a gun.

But if she didn’t, things wouldn’t have worked out okay.

I can deal with the concept of having guns to defend oneself at home.

problem comes when it comes to guns being carried in public ostensibly to defend other people. it takes a lot of training, experience, sound judgement and nerves of steel to pull a gun in a situation like that and not cause even more problems.
