No you are not. That would be the part where Obama realized that he did not need the GOP. He really had spent quite some time with them in fruitless negotiations.

My only point is that Obama really has tried on multiple times to reach out to the GOP and the GOP has yet to be something other than a party of NO.

I’m not sure I agree with you, but it does not matter. Obama and the Democrats own this. Every bill that has been passed, they own it. There is a reason Republicans are hesitant to jump on board.
