The same just happened to me. I was talking to that guy from work about it, and I said, “I remember how excited I was when I got that sword that automatically decapitated someone when you rolled a 20. What was that again? The Vorpal Sword right?”

I was stunned that I remembered the name of the damn sword.

LOL. I don’t think I can remember names of specific equipment. I do however remember the last time I played with a character that I had for two years. The party was in a town and we had just walked into an alley beside the tavern and the major NPC we’d been searching for months and a bunch of thugs jumped out from behind some barrels. At that point it was really late and we ‘paused’ for the night because the fight would take a while. For reasons I can’t remember we never got together again to continue.
In my minds eye it was like leaving a movie on pause right at the climax…forever. I still wish I knew how that story would have ended. :)
